Could I/we get clarification who is eligible to apply for NSF grants? There are three possible legal residence statuses for a PI:(a) A U.S. citizen;(b) A U.S. legal permanent resident (a.k.a. Green Card holder) who is still a citizen of a foreign country but lives in the US "permanently;"(c) A U.S. legal resident on a non-immigrant work visa.Thank you.

Does CISE provide copies of successful proposals across all other programs, as it does with the NSF CAREER proposals?

Thanks for the workshop; it is helpful. I wonder how NSF reviewers assesses a proposal in terms of what has already been done (or published) and what the PI is proposing to do next. Are reviewers looking for previous solid work that is likely to be extrapolated to the proposed idea or risky proposals that can be, at times, may sound a little far-fetched?

Note that this is not necessarily the order or structure of headers for the proposal -- but you want to make sure these are covered in the narrative.

On Results of Prior Support: you don't have to have prior awards. But if you do, make clear that you did good stuff with it.

("education" is there because these slides are based on a version from the Education and Human Resources directorate, so we have some bits that are more characteristic of EHR)

Any materials needed to show the collaboration with K12 schools?
Robin Broussard

Is NSF only interested in research that can be published broadly? If you see something that is important work, but could be important for homeland security or cybersecurity that should not be broadly shared, what action would be taken?

Thanks, the discussion was very helpful.

Can I ask the program officer/manager about the possible formation of a panel before I submit one (i.e., what kind of expertise the panel has)?

How to balance the high-level description and the technique details in a proposal?
